Utilize Filters to Refine Your Carrier Search

In C4, the Capacity section is a great place for beginners to start. Here, you can search for a lane and see a list of recommended carriers, pricing, recent transactions, and more.

  • In the Capacity tab, enter the lane details you want to search for.

  • Once the lane is searched, you will have access to carriers in and out of your network that will be good options for the load.

USE THE FILTERS TO MODIFY YOUR SEARCH

1. To filter the results, start by clicking the 'Filter' button.

2. This will give you the option to set deadhead limits, minimum truck count, minimum frequency, search for carriers by MC/DOT, select carrier HQ, and even filter in-network or out-of-network carriers.

Some useful tips:

  • Decreasing/Increasing the deadhead mileage will adjust the number of carriers listed accordingly.
  • Citing a higher Minimum Truck Count can help you find carriers with more assets and equipment available, which is a good strategy for sourcing loads with drop trailers, expedited shipments, lanes with higher volumes, etc.
  • Carrier HQ: When set to 'Headhaul,' carriers located at the origin of your search will appear.
  • Carrier HQ: When set to 'Backhaul,' carriers located at the destination of your search will appear.
  • The Best Match Score factors how long a carrier has had their authority, how closely the lane in their profile matches the lane searched, and how recent the carriers have been updated in the system.
